Au Pair Definition
By definition, an Au Pair is a young person that has the desire to experience another cultural background and learn a new language by choosing to live in a selected foreign country with a Host Family. In order to receive an exchange for a private room and some stipends, the Au Pair will take care of some minor tasks that is related to childcare and household chores. The Au Pair is regarded as a temporary “big brothers or sisters†to the Host Children and will hope to become a new member to the Host Family.
